Take On Me Multi-Track (2020)

Rediscover the magic of Take On Me with this classic 2020 multi-track reconstruction by Doctor Mix. Created as an earlier tribute to a-ha’s timeless 1985 hit, this version captures the unmistakable melodies, synth textures, and nostalgic energy that made the song a defining sound of the 1980s.

While more streamlined than the later deep-dive reconstruction, this original recreation has its own unique charm and authenticity. Focused on the core musical elements and iconic hooks of the track, it delivers a fun, accessible, and highly musical interpretation that remains faithful to the spirit of the original recording while preserving the excitement of the early Doctor Mix recreations fans came to love.

Perfect for producers, synth enthusiasts, and lovers of retro pop production, this pack offers a nostalgic snapshot of the channel’s earlier reconstruction style — celebrating the timeless songwriting, unforgettable synth-pop atmosphere, and enduring legacy of one of the greatest pop songs ever recorded.

Produced from scratch by Doctor Mix. Every part was re-played and re-recorded in our London studio — this session contains no samples, stems or audio taken from the original master recording.
