Released in 1987, Bad is Michael Jackson at his most pointed — tight choreography, bold hooks, and production that still snaps today.

To reconstruct this iconic track with a twist, we used just one sampler — the Kiwiak Instruments WoFi — and sampled only door stoppers. Every beat, synth, and stab was reimagined from the twang and thunk of spring-loaded percussion.

No drum machines. Just springs, stoppers, and one sampler.
