How We Made It
Built from the original instruments.
The Roland TR-909 defined the sound of house and techno from its first appearance in 1983. Its punchy kick, snappy snare, and unmistakable open hat became the rhythmic vocabulary of an entire era of electronic music — and the bedrock of countless club records since.
For this pack, we recorded a real TR-909 through the same outboard chain we use on professional club records — analogue summing, optical compression, and tape saturation — capturing not just the dry samples but the printed character that makes 909 records sound like 909 records.
Every kit has been velocity-layered and round-robin mapped for HALion and Kontakt, so the response feels alive when you play it in. Drop the WAVs into any DAW and the groove is already there.
